Practical information and local life

Waste transport

In winter, the Mont Blanc Tramway transports waste from the stations down to Saint-Gervais.

Waste bins are provided free of charge at Motivon and Les Seillères.

Rubbish is collected on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by the freight train.

Please do not leave anything outside the bins.

⚠️ Important: Never place glass in rubbish bags, as this may injure the staff handling them. Glass should be placed separately in a cardboard box or taken down by your own means.

Alternative: If the bins are full, you may use the freight wagon directly (passing around 9:00–9:30 a.m. at Motivon).
